Jewelry Manufacturing Company

 Indian Gem and Jewellery Industry
The Year 2011 For Indian Gem & Jewellery Industry:

The past year 2011 was dull not only for India but other countries too because of a global economic slowdown but the ample inflow of diamond roughs from DTC, Argyle, Ekati and Antwerp has been very helpful for the Indian Diamond Industry.

The Colored Gemstones and Jewellery too have been in trouble. In particular, Tanzanite has to be taken into account. It may be recalled that tanzanite came under dark clouds because of media allegations that its trade had underground links with Arab terrorists. This resulted in suspension of Tanzanite sales by two of world’s dealers. Jaipur, the main manufacturing center for tanzanite, has to suffer a severe setback as U.S. off take nose-dived despite clarifications being offered by traders. Then not only Tanzanite dealers, but African mining interests and several trade organizations took up the challenge to clear Tanzanite from the serious stigma.. Fortunately, their efforts succeeded and now once again Tanzanite is the Darling of all Gemstone dealers. With the U.S administration giving it a clean chit, Tanzanite is back in the market with all its charm. This has boosted the spirits of the Indian Colored Gemstone sector, particularly its Jaipur gem cutters and Indian traders.
